Thank you for visiting Glass Teapots.  I really appreciate that you found me.  I have made this site to show the world the majesty and beauty of glass teapots.  If you are a tea drinker and you have not experienced the glass teapot, then you are missing out.

Have you ever sat down and watched a blooming tea through a glass teapot?  If you have not you are truly missing out.  Glass teapots are perfect for these blooming teas because you can see the magic happening.  I actually had a friend that enjoyed blooming teas without even having a glass teapot.  Once I showed her the glass teapots that were available she was aw struck.

Glass tea pots can also help you see the color of the tea.  The color of the tea can help you decide the flavor.  Once you make it a few times you know what it tastes like simply by the color.  The darker the stronger and the lighter the weaker.

There are lots of different types of glass teapots out there.  They range from simple to fancy.  One of the main reasons I made this site was to expose some of my favorite types of glass teapots on the market right now.  There are a couple different companies that make these glass teapots, Jenaer, Jena, Numi, Pyrex, Bodum, Sur La Mer,  are just a few of the different types of glass teapots on the market.  I have designed a page that talks about each.

When you purchase a glass teapot you should look for one that comes with an infuser.  I won’t get into to much detail but you can read more about a glass teapot with infuser here.

With glass tea pots you do not want to put them on the burner on your stove.  You can purchase a glass electric tea kettle or simply boil water in a clean pan and pour in.  I personally have a glass electric tea kettle to boil my water in.  Its much easier than boiling water in a pan.

Using glass teapots is truly a unique experience.  They are great for decorating when you have company and make perfect inexpensive gifts.  I promise you if you have company over and one of these are sitting on your coffee table or  window sill they are gonna ask about it.  I have impressed a lot of my friends and now every one of them own their very own glass teapot.
